Hello everybody. I went to Moore Central but unfortunately had to move when Dad had a promotion opportunity with the FAA in the east.  We were all very upset about leaving Okla. and I still consider it home.  It's been great seeing all the pictures and I thank Steve Underwood for sending me FB friend suggestions.  I have found several of the old gang.  Great website!

Hi everyone, I cant come to the reunion this year but I have a suggestion. Its almost football season and I think we would all have a blast if we met on some street corner during an OU football game.
Shoot if someone wants us to we could invade their tailgate but I think we would all have a great time!

I just found this website not too long ago. I wasn't very social in school but it's been very cool to reconnect after all of these years. I think being diagnosed with breast cancer last year has given me a renewed  spirit. Life is short and you never know what cards you will be dealt. I am greatful I can call myself a survivor and I'll see you the end of July!!

I was going through the In Memoriams and noticed Tommy Montgomery's name. Does any one know what happened to him?

The last time I saw him was in 1986, we dated for a little bit. I don't know what to say.

Thanks.

In keeping with the health topic...I haven't had the colon yet, but did just have a TIA mini-stroke just a month ago.  Landed me in the hospital for 3 days.  Doctor commented..."you got lucky!"  Stress related I'm sure...also have a pre-diabetic issue to deal with.

It's been a while since I've posted.  I'm going to do my very best to attend the reunion in July. Unfortunately missed the last one!  Beverly and I have been married 25 years this month!  Wow how time flies.  We went on an 8 day Alaskan cruise.  I would love to move up there, but since I was born and raised here in the OKC/Moore area I'll probably stay here (drats!)  I'm up at the Candlewood Branch of Bank of Oklahoma as a Vice President and Branch Manager.  So if you're in the area come by and visit!  Beverly and I live down at S. 4th and Bryant, just about a mile south of the high school.  Take care and keep in touch

Hey, it's like the 3rd of March 2010 and nobody has written anything in this for a long time; are folks no longer reading it? If you guys are not careful I will write lots of long boring posts about my recent stroke experiences; they fascinate me but I have noticed they seem to have the opposite affect on anyone else. Amazing how important our health is to us, and to NOBODY ELSE. Weird.

I hope by the time the world ends in 2012 at least a few of you dorks have come back to the message board.

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!How funny you guys sound like old men LOL....Don't think you are the only ones faced with a barrage of tests once you turn 50.  You should feel sorry for us girls having our once a year mammograms, there is an old expression..."She got her tits in the wringer"  well even though they were talking about the old time washing machines it is a good comparison.  No wonder women our age have them hanging down to the waistline, going through that every year. I have often wondered how does a woman with implants get a mammogram?  Food for thought.  Anyway, keep on having those checkups, we want everyone to be around for the next reunions.  Take care all.

What's up with all your bung holes? Are we reduced to conversations of  only our health. Go drive a race car, climb a mountain do something... Since we are on the subject though, let's talk about those prostate exams. WOW I mule kicked that docter with both feet, right in the chest. Don't laugh I was spared the co-pay. Seriously at our age it's amazing that they don't charge us up front at a restuarant.

I've got to start looking at this page more often.  Most of the time I just sign on to the admin side and check to see if we need any mainteneance performed.  I'm glad to see Joe and Ernie were given good results on their colonoscopies.  I'm also glad to hear no one has been offended by the colonoscopy post.  If anyone would like to suggest other topics you think we need to touch on please let us know.  I noticed that Lynnette Dowlearn Arnold thinks we need to list the dates on the memoriam page.  I think she's right, I would like to see that as well.  I'll do some poking around and see if I can come up with that data.  If anyone knows of a website where I can get the data let me know.  I'll be glad to enter it.

I totally agree with Ernie.  The posting about colonoscopies came about because of a discussion several of us had one evening.  Steve Underwood was kind enough to research the topic and post the information.  I recently had one and survived it!  (And my colon is healthy!)  The procedure itself is not so bad, but the preparation for it is a bit uncomfortable!  We have to do these things as we grow older, but as Ernie says, let's embrace it and support one another as we go through it!

So it's been a while since I have posted a thought here and it is late with nothing really to watch accept Sportscenter or Hannity (I really thought I only had two channels on my Dish Network, haha),and so here goes. I applaud the individual who creatively cared enough to share the importance of colonoscopy. Having ministered to a few who have dealt with the discovery of colon cancer and supporting a local Hobbsan  who now has entered the final stages of life because of colon cancer, I suggest we all pay attention and respond appropriately. I have recently scheduled my appointment and am excited about it. Now we all can be uptight, nervous and fearful...or... we can turn this thing into somewhat of a challenge. I propose that each of us declare right here on this Guest Book when we schedule our appointments and if we wish the prognosis. We can support one another, pray for one another, and rejoice with one another. Look, I am not trying to disrespectful, I just think we have accomplished so much together as a class filled with great people, let us now grow old together and have some fun with it along the way. I encourage your thoughts on this matter.

I want everybody to know not only did I and everyone who knows him lose the greatest story teller ever heard in our friend Kirk Owen, but I had the pleasure of being his best friend .
I wish everybody could be so lucky to have a friend who was this talented in telling stories, so upbeat about life and could make everyone around them laugh about anything! This is one gift anyone would be so lucky to receive and I hope during his life you were able to experience his presence..

For those of us that knew Kirk Owens will remember him as one of the funniest story tellers that I have personally ever heard. He could tell a story from things that happened in the past with the funniest expressions and the most comical details.
Kirk Owens passed away Friday, Nov. 21st from an apparent heart attack. Robert Millford has forwarded us this information. Robert can be contacted here through his name and e-mail address.

Greetings Lions of 1977
Memories, memories! To all I grew up with and spent time together, I thank you. The wife and I are renewing our vows after 27 years of marriage and we are taking a 2nd honeymoon in England later this year. We will be unable to make this upcoming reunion. I am proud of what this class has accomplished over the years! All of you are wonderful people and I am proud to know that I was a part of this class even though I graduated from a high school in Springfield Missouri. May God continue to richly bless each one of you. To those of you who have been called to be ministers and preachers, may God annoint your steps always in this life and the next.
Peace be with you, His peace, in Jesus' name.

Sorry I missed everyone at the reunion. My father had just recently passed away and our family was going through a tough time. This is the first time I have looked at the website and it is topnotch.

It was a shock to see in the memoriam that 26 of us are gone already. I cried for the ones I knew as a kid and wondered when and how they passed. I think it would be very special if the date of their passing and something written by one of us was included with their names.

There was something very special about the class of '77 and I think we all know why. You just don't see a class the size of ours be that close. Ours was the first class to not be all together until our sophmore year and we came a very long way in just a few years from being bitter rivals to being one voice. I don't think the gym ever fully recovered from the decibels we reached during the pep rallys.  We did some amazing things that year and I still hate Del City for spoiling our party that fall.

Hope to see ya'll next time.

Thank you all for such a wonderful reunion! I am glad Tony and I made it both nights. Cindy C., I loooove the Norman LaLuna; thank you so much for hosting Sunday nite. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, I am so proud of you and all your accomplishments, personal and professional. You are an asset to the universe!! Just like all our classmates, we are one special group. Thank you so much to all those folks who said such stunningly nice, heartfelt, sincere things to me and about me. You coulda knocked over me with a feather after I heard some of the comments. It was wonderful to see people I hadn't seen in years...we all look so young! I, like the Rev. Ernie E., want to say that I love you all so very much and I pray God blesses each and every one of you with long, healthy lives filled with prosperity and joy. Here's a big thank you to the planning committee. I had a great time. I especially enjoyed talking to people I barely knew 30 years ago and finding out how many common experiences we have shared since graduation. It was nice to meet fellow veterans and discuss our military experiences. One problem with a class our size is that we tended to split up into groups according to what activities we participated in (sports, band, drama, marijuana, etc.) I think next time it might be fun to do some mingling activities to help us get to to know people we just didn't have occasion to bump into 30 years ago. This website would be a great place to start . I'm going to start a message board for teachers (and principals) and also one for veterans. Once again, I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. I'll see you in five years or so.

Ok, It is so fitting that I follow up on the message board after my boyz! I can not put into words or even attempt to explainify this past weekend! All weekend long, I felt like I had been beat with a broomstick! It was from laughing so stinking hard on the golf course Saturday (WE can keep my play amongst ourselves!! ;) and listening and talking about the old "our" gang stories on Sunday afternoon. As a committee member, I would like to give the others on the committee a BIG HI-5!! The reunion was a tremendous success! Everyone was so appreciative and complementary of everything that was planned! Each person on the committee had and executed their own personal assingments and it all came off without a hitch! Thanks the most goes out to Judy for being our "ring leader" for most of the circus, ooops, I mean meetings! I truly hope that this Moore High web-site will allow us to stay better in touch and more informed of our classmates future whereabouts. May God bless each and everyone of you!!

Since I was the only one in the third grade with a drivers license, I sure wish one of you would have made me take typing. How much FUN was THAT. Being and old three haired geezer isn't so bad when you get to hang with all of your partners in crime. Everybody needed about two more days so we could hear about all of the procedures that we have had. Thanks a zillion for all of you who gave so much. I am so PROUD to be a 1977 class-mate Greg Sutterfield

To the team who worked to organize this reunion I say thank you for your creativeness and hard work. Your efforts have left an indelible mark upon my life. This time together was more than just sharing a few old stories. For me it seemed to be the crowning moment of heartfelt friendships that persevered time and distance. I am a softy when it comes to people and as I stopped periodically to gaze across the room and restaurant at my classmates I had to resist crying because of the love and admiration I have for you all. My heart was filled with so much joy and happiness just being with you all. I must admit I had very low expectations regarding the atmosphere of the reunion. However I want you all to know that I am thrilled to have attended and will cherish the memories forever. I love you all and may God bless your lives. Ernie

Thanks to all that organized this event! I want to personally to say I'm sorry for my actions on Saturday night, which my lovely wife Jeri brought to my attenttion, was inappropriate behavior in actions and language! I hope that I have'nt affended you or your spouses and if I did I truely apologize! I especially apologize to Judy Bickford(Bradly) for saying things that I don't remember saying but know I said after talking to my wife, which cleared the table that I was at. I hope that all of you can find it in yourself to forgive me and invite me back, because I'm going to forgive Scott Marshall for looking 30 at the 30th reunion. Seriously wish me luck, and you know I need it, to find a better way to live life. I wish all of you the best! Robert Milford

Wow it has come and gone! It was great seeing everyone, just wish I could have spoken to each of you. I told several, but the one commonality our class has is we CARE! Point proven when you see how far many of you traveled, Alaska, NC, KY, IL NM,WY, TX, etc. If you didn't order the DVD from Edmondmoto.com do so, it is a steal at $12.00 or $30.00 if you got the package deal. He is putting all the pictures on it. We will have links on this website. But if you weren't there or need the site, it is www.edmondmoto.com. Take care and keep this website going, thanks to Judy and Ed we are able to keep the communication strong. Thanks, BeLinda

Thank you to everyone for all the hard work in putting this event together! The website, organization and the enthusiasm is amazing. I would love this website to keeping going - can we contribute/pay a fee for this! We couldn't make it to the country club last night - we were at the game (a known win) but with clients or we would have been there! So, just an update, I married before our senior year (not pregnant - just young and dumb) then on to Phillips Univ and OU Law School. Divorced in 1993/remarried in 1996. Steve and I met on the opposite sides of a case - he represented the State for the Attorney General's office. Everyone always asks who won - hmmm!!! Two kids - Sonny, 27 y/o and Lindyn (daughter -21 y/o - and a senior at OU. We'll come home with dirty laundry when we leave Norman tonight! We live in NW OKC. We work and we travel. Steve is an attorney for the state (OK Police Pension System) and a Lt. Col. with the OK Air Guard (JAG - Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraqi Freedom). My law office just moved to 4000 N. Classen - on Friday!!! We love dancing, having fun with friends, meeting new friends, and cheering on our Sooners! Did I say having fun with friends!!! Email or call -we're in the phone book! Can't wait to see everyone today/tonight!!! Riki

I had a great time seeing everyone at the reunion. I still live in Moore. I am working as a Medical Coder, I have two great girls: Autumn age 9 & Alyssa age 4. They keep my busy. Being a single dad, it is tough, but so much fun. Life hasn't been easy, but it sure has been interesting. I've made my mistakes, but God has been very gracious to me. He has taught me to be non-judgemental (on some things LOL) and what forgivness is all about. That life is better lived as a positive, caring, giving and compasionate person. You have to laugh and drink in those moments that only come once in a lifetime. Thanks for the memories, for the friendships and for the prayers. I will be glad to email and/or talk to anyone that wants to or needs to talk, needs a shoulder, or just needs to vent. I am a very good listener and a great friend. Let's not let the years pass us by. Let's keep in touch, supportive and compasionate of each other, encouraging each other in all the adventures we will journey from this day forward. One more thing as I finish. I want to think someone very special to me. Tracy Moore-Brice, thank you for your friendship. Thanks for being crazy, fun and honest with me. You are an incredible and beautiful woman. Good-luck everyone. My God protect and comfort you. And if you need me, I will be here! See you at our 40 reunion. :)

Just found out today for sure that I'll be able to attend. 30 years later and I'm still in the Army. One of the good things about that is I've been all over the world; one of the bad things, it's sometimes hard to make plans in advance. Currently live in St Louis, MO. Still talk to some of the old crowd, but not as often as I'd like. I plan on Friday and Saturday nights both - hope to see everybody there!

I had 13 in my senior class and no music department!! Small town living was sure fun though. I was able to participate in everything. I am still married. Bret and I live in Okeene and have 4 grown boys. Justin 29, Tyler 23, Reese 21 and Ryan 21. The older two help with the family oilfield business and the twins are juniors at OSU. GO POKES!!! We have a 2 year old granddaughter. This girl stuff is soooo wonderful!!!!!!!!!! I am currently working as a hospice nurse for a company out of Enid.

Thank you all for the emails full of kind words, thoughts and prayers for our youngest son. I can’t begin to tell you how much we appreciate all of the support. Jerrad is doing as well as can be expected. He broke his right femur in two places just below his hip. He has a 14” titanium rod that runs through the middle of it now. His right leg is about twice the size of the other one. That’s the only bone that was broke. Amazing stuff, they told us he could start walking on it as soon as he felt like it. He’s still in the trauma ward. They talked like they would turn him loose before Wednesday but, they gave us both a 7 day parking pass this morning. He looks like he was beat with a pipe. It will take him some time to get over this but, he will. Air bags are a wonderful thing. Jerrad throws approx. 360 papers in the mornings before he goes to his regular job at 7:00. He was within 2 papers of being done Friday morning just before 6:00 AM. He fell asleep, mashed the throttle down and hit a 2 ft diameter tree dead center. They estimate he was doing a little over 50 mph when he hit the tree. It pushed the motor under the passenger compartment. The tree never moved. They had to cut him out of the car. We’re just thankful he’s still with us. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend. Best regards, Steve & Michelle Underwood

Another milestone that will be happening the Friday before the reunion is the last Moore War football game. Next year with Southmoore opening there will be three high schools in the Moore School District as well as each will be incorporating the 9th graders. Our daughter is a senior at Westmoore and it's always fun around our household because we're both Moore graduates and tend to cheer for the Mighty Lions while our children cheer for the Jags. Consequently, she is our youngest and the last one of our three to graduate from Westmoore. She and many of the students are sad to see such an era come to an end. If you're in town looking for something to do the night before, think of going to the Last Moore War. Go Lions~

I recall Greg Sutterfield and me stealing a couple of fire extinguishers from school for a little after-school mischief. We were almost caught by Mr. Arvin before the fun began when Greg, while giving me the coast-is-clear surveillance, accidentally ducked into the girls restroom directly in the eye-shot of Mr. Arvin. After a very direct scolding, Greg and I commenced saturating most everyone on 12th street including the drive-thru of Taco Bell, the trash lady at Sonic, and anyone else we saw. Our day abruptly came to an end when we were ambushed by a large host of congregants in the parking lot of Papa Johns Pizza parking lot in part to the betrayal of our chauffeurs Steve Trimble and Mike Parker. All in good fun though.

One day John Nail, Jason McGee, Greg Leonard and myself skipped forth hour and went driving around Draper Lake. We got stopped by the Lake Patrol and he asked what our names were and did we have permission to be out of school. Even though I was in the back seat I spoke up and said my name was James Nance, Jason said that he was Terry Barbre, John said that he was Doug Bourassa and Greg said that he was Dickie Ferguson. The officer let us go. When we got back to school the overhead anounced for Doug, Terry, James and Dickie to go to the office. I saw Doug after school and he was looking for whomever had used his name. It had taken him over and hour to convince the principle that he had been in his classes all day. I finally told him who did it to him at the 25th reunion. Me and Jason were ready to run until we saw Doug and Terry laughing.

Central Office Funny Memory - Was doing the morning announcements one day and read my own License Plate Number of one of the cars that had been towed for parking in the teacher's parking lot. Thank heavens for Ms "A" who drove me to the police station to get my car out of the impound yard. Cost me $75.00, never thought I was good enough or stupid enough to park in the teacher's parking lot again.

One day I was just minding my own business in German class when an office lady came in to personally escort me to the central office. Everyone was very nice to me and told me to go wait in the circle for my dad who was coming to pick me up. A few minutes later Doug Bourassa zoomed up in his truck and told me to hop in. He had called in to say my grandmother had died and I would be in Iowa for a week for the funeral. He had gotten me out to help him work on the band haunted hay ride. The hay ride was a great success. I wish I could say the same for my grades! That;s my only fond memory of the central office.

Thanks to Ricky Blair I am living happily ever after. Let me explain... After graduation, the oil boom and subsequent Bust, I left Moore swearing that I'd never be back. While chatting with Ricky Blair at our 20th Reunion I had an epiphany that people in High School were not exactly what they appeared and I made the decision to move my family back to Moore (BEST decision I've ever made). Now, I'm Vice Mayor of Moore and on the City Council. I still can't believe how quickly the past 30 years just zipped by! WOW! I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

What an exciting time for the class of 1977--30 years--doesn't seem possible! However, I had to remind myself that this is my 33rd year in Education so you all had to put up with me when I was young and quite inexperienced. Life has been grand as I have a wonderful Dean's position at UCO in the Fine and Performing Arts college and a 27 year old daughter who has stayed in the OKC area! I am also the proud owner of 2 pugs--Lucy and Matilda and a 17-year old basset hound--Miss Bebe! Hope to see you at the reunion--making arrangements to attend and come along with Belinda Nikkel. Take care--email me, come visit me at UCO, send your children to UCO! We will take care of them. Miss A/Gayle Kearns

Allegedly, the bulldozing at the high school is to make room for an added freshman class in a year or so! Hey there, boys n' berries!! Hard to believe its been 30 years. I pretty much feel just as young as I did in highschool until my Uncle Arthr Itis comes to pay a visit, always overstaying...or if I catch a glimpse of some ol' broad staring at me thru my bathroom window...oops! That's the mirror and that's me! Much like my years of scholastic education I haven't exactly impressed the world with my existence. Frustrated, confounded, confused and irritated, but not impressed! However, after two failed, abusive marriages wherein the only time God's name was spoken was in anger or swearing...not proud of that, then or now...I finally got the hint and let God pick my next victim, er, husband! Seriously, I am married to the most wonderful man in the world!(Tony Brice) Handsome, intelligent, witty, sexy, caring and in love with both me and the Lord! However, he is a 75 graduate of Spencer High School, but we won't hold that against him, will we? I truly am blessed and I hope God has blessed all of you and your lives and families greatly and that the times of grief, loss, sorrow, trials and tribulations we all must live through as we do this thing called Life, have been very brief and very few. Hope to be at the reunion and see many from the most beautiful graduating class in the year of 1977. God Bless You All - Tracy P.S. If there is a duplicate entry from me, I am so sorry! Mr. Wonderful just purchased me a new laptop and I'm hitting two or three buttons at once and all kinds of things have been happening!

A musician with a computer, a demented sense of humor and too much time on his hands is a dangerous thing. I recorded a silly tune in honor (if you can call it that) of our class and posted it to my website. You can hear the song and see the lyrics by copying this url to your web browser. If I used your name in the song and you are offended, let me know and I'll replace it with one of the 700 or so available. Doug Bourassa is probably the name I exploited the worst and he thought it was funny. http://www.terrybarbre.com/MHS1977.html

A walk down memory lane! I had a great time attending another Reunion Planning Committee Meeting, Tuesday. We do need your help, some of the committee members have put up their own money to cover expenses: band, deposits, etc. Please get your money turned in soon. As we talked about TG&Y, Anothony's, OTASCO, Star Pharmacy, Jewelry Store (Place everone bought drop necklaces, pins, promise rings, etc), Pappa Johns, Pappa Foose, 12th Street, and of course MHS - we all have special memories of our home town. But most important it was the people that made our growing up years special. Please take the time to complete the RSVP, you can also pay online. We can't wait to see you. Thanks Class of 1977.

Maree', age 18, is a Sr. in H.S. at Heritage Hall, in OKC. We live in the Piedmont area, which is N.W. OKC. Brother Dane just transferred from Kansas to Arkansas, with Tyson Foods. As soon as he gets settled, I'm sure he'll be signing on. He's been married over 25 years, with 3 boys. Looking forward to catching up with old friends.

Terry, I don't remember who did the candy throwing. Who was it? We sure were a bunch of band nerds. Does anyone remember the Saturday that Mr. Capps got a group of us to come over to his house and he had us clear the jungle that was his backyard. We would do anything for that fat man. At least he did feed us pizza. Also, how many swats did Mr. Capps give to the trombone section our ninth grade year? Did anyone escape his paddle?

Terry, you just proved my point about what a fine group of folks we went to school with. No one would fess up about who threw the candy out the window. Makes me wonder if they will rat them out 30 years+ later. Keep up the good work running for state senate, we need good politicians at all levels of government. One more Moore West Story. Moore must have really been growing at the time because Moore West was too small from the day they opened it. We had Home Ec and shop in portables the first year. Later they put Home Ec in the new wing. I think the boys were always in the portables. Many of you may remember Linda Wofford. She has been retired several years and works at the Painted Door in Bricktown, use to see her a lot when they had the store on Western. Monty has invited both she and her husband to the reunion.

Ok!!! I know I don't look the same, does anyone else????? I also have had 30 years to develop cob webs in my mind!!! HA HA Will everyone be required to wear name tags???? I will need one just to remember who I am!!!! I am not kidding!!!! 30 years is a long time ago. I am married and have 2 children one 28 and one 15. I have 3 grandchildren. I am going to try to make it to the reunion. I missed the 10, I was in the hospital. I missed the 20 mom was in the hospital. I didn't hear about the 25th, or I could have heard and forgotten!!!! The older we get the harder it is to keep up with everything. I hope to make this one. I remember the time capsule too. It was buried in front of the school. ( I think ) that was more than 30 years ago. So I can't be sure??? I remember so many funny people. I have seen just a few over the years, and I am sad to say I knew the faces and forgot the names. I hope someone else out there can help me remember, and I hope I am not the only one who has trouble keeping up!!!!

Belinda's story about the sack lunches at Moore West reminded me of another story. There was no band room at Moore West that first year, so we had to ride a bus to Central every day. Someone threw a piece of candy out the window while we were going down 12th street. It flew in the window of a police car and stuck on the officer's shirt. He pulled us over and yelled for a while, but I don't think we ratted out the culprit. Does anyone remember who the guilty party was?

I made the 10 year reunion but missed the last one because of family vacation. I hope to make it to some of this reunion but have another commitment (out of town family reunion held on holiday weekend for much the same reasons as this reunion planned). Would love to get together on Friday evening or Saturday daytime for family-oriented events.

30 years ?!? Time flies when you're having fun, huh? I'm grateful to have made the 10th, 20th, and the 25th reunions, and hoping to make this one too; since it's on Labor Day weekend, it might be tough, given work commitments & such. I moved to Texas in Dec 78, and stayed there 16 years, getting married, having four great kids and getting divorced before moving to Northeast Indiana (near Ft Wayne, geography majors) in Dec. 94. The website is great, and so is seeing all the familiar names (putting faces to some takes a little time, sorry!) Mike Bollman, one of the people listed as missing, contacted me about this site, and I believe he's listed in the OKC phone book. He will be in touch with the right people soon if he hasn't been already. Here's hoping I get a chance to see everyone again in September; if not, have a good time and have a few for me! God bless you all!

Oh my gosh we are getting old when we start talking about burying things. (Most of my past needs to be buried). Stephen you are right, we did do a time capsule that first year we opened the doors at Moore West Jr. High. In fact do you remember we didn't have a gym for a while, had to do basketball outside. We also had to have sack lunches the first few weeks until they finished the cafeteria. Then we had classes in the gym when they were finishing a wing. If anyone still has their Tiger 1974 Yearbook. Toby Keith Covel is on pg. 35. He was two years behind us. Does anyone know him well enough to invite him to our reunion. I know he hired Yancey Johnson, they were friends way back. Maybe with Yancey's conections he could invite Toby Keith to our Reunion. Ya never know, he lives in Norman.

I figure if any of the folks I ran around with at Central Jr. High buried anything they were trying to hide it from the cops. I have a lot of fond memories of Jr. High like, walking up town hand in hand with my sweetie, pooling our lunch money to buy an order of French fries, pack Marlboros and a condom, hanging out at the Mind Garden, Pool Hall, Dairy Queen and the park, holding my breath by the phone every month waiting to hear those magical words, “I started…” Ah, the good ol days. Beaver and Wally should have been so lucky.

Ok..i'm hearing from some other Moore West Jr. high people that i'm not dreaming. It appears that we "DID" place some kind of a time capsule to the left of the entrance near a tree that was being planted. I'm going to run over to the school on my day's off next week and visit with the staff and see if anyone has any knowledge of it. Maybe they have some of our old Tiger Newsletters (geez..hate to see those again...) if all else fails, maybe they can get a metal detector somewhere to check the area. Would be fun..

Belinda.. you're right... looking back through the entries is like reliving our days we all remember so well. Question for anyone that started what used to be Moore West Jr. High...For some reason it sticks in my brain that a time capsule was burried near one of the trees in front... Does ANYONE remember this or is my old ages playing tricks on me!!!

Thanks to Ed, Judy, and the entire Reunion Committee for this great website. Steve, it is like passing notes in class, I have enjoyed hearing from so many friends. Talk about "Blasts from the Past" we sure had some great folks from Moore, Oklahoma. Even though I live in the Dallas area, we average 16 trips to OKC and Norman every year. (Kids at OU, family, and football) I would invite anyone to our Reunion Committee Planning meetings. I've only made two, what fun it is to see folks. And we could always use the extra help. Monty has obtained a wonderful band. Hope everyone can make it in September, please help us get the word out. Thanks!

Y'all probably don't remember me. I did graduate in '77 from Moore but I kinda ran around with a bunch of people who had either dropped out or already graduated. I had hair about to the middle of my back when I graduated (which is QUITE a change from how I look now.....lol) and hung out with "that" crowd. The foolishness of youth :-) Anyway, I'm interested to see if anybody does remember me. I remember a lot of names I'm seeing on here but I'm gonna have to pull the yearbook out for some of ya...... I'm getting married for the second time in June.....I have 2 sons, 19 and 16. I work in Norman and live just north of Moore. And even if none of ya remember me at least I'll get to eat at LaLuna.....

Hard to believe it's been 30 years. I'm seeing names here that I knew at Kelly Elementary and Moore West Jr. High. Somewhere between moving too many times and tornadoes, I've lost my 77 high school annual. Wish I could look up some of the names I'm not sure about. My wife and I moved to Dallas about 10 years ago. We each have two children from previous marriages. Debra has two girls age 28 and 25, I have 2 boys age 25 and 24. Did I mention 4 grandchildren? God has blessed us greatly, look forward seeing everyone.
